After a couple hotter than normal weeks in Boise, we had planned to take our maiden camp trip of the summer over Memorial Day weekend. But as the days got closer the weather forecast brought us very typical Memorial Day weekend weather (rain) so instead of testing out how tough Nash and I were, Mom and Dad opted to book a two night stay at a hotel in McCall for a mini family vacation. We swam in the hotel pool, ate special treats and coffee drinks while it rained Saturday a.m., we went hiking on a trail in Ponderosa State Park, we slept like babies (went to bed early, took long naps, and got up at the crack of dawn), we ate mexican food at a table over-looking the lake, and we went to Gold Fork Hot Springs. The hot springs was easily the highlight of the trip. We stayed and soaked for 3 hours!
Whew! Mini-vacations are exhausting!
