Urban Adventure - Portland, OR

We've been wanting to go on vacation and do something different for some time now and since it's too expensive to fly anywhere we decided to go an an urban adventure, long-weekend road trip to Portland, OR. To shake things up, we rented a condo in the Pearl District in downtown which overlooks the Willamette River. We visited the zoo, OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), ate lots of good food, and visited Mom's friend Lana and her family. Nash and I ate out like pros at restaurants well beyond our age which was fun for Mom and Dad. We were thrilled to take public transportation and actually grumbled when we had to take the car to the suburbs to have dinner at Lana's.

Who knew taking small children to the city could be so fun? Thanks for the adventure, beautiful Portland!
