Daddy Dress up Dance Party Night

Tuesday nights are Mommy's night to go biking, so Daddy has dinner with us and puts us to bed.  After dinner, we usually try to think of something crazy to do for fun.  This week we decided that we should do a crazy Dress Up Dance Party.  We all dressed up in our craziest outfits, turned on some fun dance music, and then took our turns coming out on "stage" dancing to the music.  We LOVE to dance and dress up silly.

Monkey Business

I have always loved the park. These days I'm quite the monkey and will monkey around until I have blisters on my hands. The second trick on the slide is something I mastered under Dad's supervision, so that I can scare the you know what out of Mom when she's on duty.
In other news, Tuesday was our last day at Aqua Tots and we started going back to the YMCA for "Mommy-Nash-Reese day" today. Nash and I totally exceeded Mom's expectations. I am now tall enough to easily touch bottom in the small, aerobics pool where we practice our swimming. I swam just like a fish on both my belly and my back. Nash behaved himself at the pool too, and stayed on the steps while Mom had a chance to work with me a bit. After that we both got to do super-jumps off the side of the pool to our hearts content. Yay!

Our Patient, Growing Lilly

Lilly is such a good cat. So social and patient with both kids. Here's a picture of them tonight, and one from back in January when she became part of our family. She is literally twice as big!

The Farmstead

In October there are a couple nearby farms who have some really fun fall festivities. Last weekend we went to The Farmstead and enjoyed a wonderful fall day together.

And, yes, I ate the entire footlong corn dog! Nash nibbled around it like it was corn on the cob and ate the majority of fried breading. :)

Neighborhood Friends

One of the best things about our new house is the neighborhood kids. There are several kids at or very near my age. Nicole, Samantha, Luke....I love them all. There is one particular girlie-girl that moved here this spring and we've formed quite a little bond - her name is Benet. Over the last couple months we've had several weekend playdates, which usually consist of several hours playing at Benet's house followed by several hours at our house (or vice versa). Benet is fun, smart and very sweet. She's also fairly tolerant of my annoying younger brother - and Mom and Dad think I could learn a thing or two from her. Maybe it is because Benet has an older brother and is not subjected to Nash's antics on a daily basis, maybe it's because she's 8 months older than I am, or maybe it's just her sweet demeanor - but we're all happy that I have wonderful neighborhood friends.

The One Legged Scoot

Nash got a Skuut bike for his second birthday, and although he briefly experiments with it he still prefers his Radio Flyer because he's so much faster with it. He has always pushed with only one leg and we've been meaning to capture this on film for some time now. He's got one strong right leg and he corners like his Daddy!

Swimming Like a Fish

It's 48 degrees and raining outside, who's ready to go swimming?! Thankfully the pool at Aqua Tots is very warm! Only a couple more weeks of lessons with my coach Jennifer and we'll be switching to the YMCA. I absolutely love my lessons, which makes it a little hard to switch, but I'm excited to be able to be able to practice my skills with my family on the weekends together (on top of YMCA lessons and Tues/Thurs trips with Mom and Nash). Look how much I've learned in just a few months.
