Spring Break in Kauai

We've been dreaming of Kauai for a long time and our spring break trip was everything we'd hoped it would be. We hit 10 different beaches (including a couple repeats) and they all delivered. We couldn't get enough beach time and were basically dragging ourselves out at the end of the afternoon to keep the sunburn at bay. Two weeks off work (a first ever for both of us), didn't check e-mail once, and Ryan even turned his phone OFF for the entire stay - not bad! Kauai is truly paradise and we hope to visit again when the kids are a little older so we can add a few waterfall hikes to our Kauai resume in addition to more beach time.
There were so many good photos so we made a Smilebox with all of our favorites.

Here's a few things that I'll remember...
  • Late night check-in at the Marriott and granola breakfast on the patio
  • Yoga and sand play on Kalapaki Beach
  • The “Wild Kratt” on Anini Beach (a.k.a the wild cat)
  • The hike, sand, surf, and seclusion at Hideaways Beach
  • Watching local surfers at Haena/Cannons Beach
  • Wave riding at Kiahuna Beach after lunchtime cocktails
  • Riding waves and the surf at Hanalei Bay
  • Canadian friends on Pu’u Poa Beach
  • Epic waves at Queen’s Bath
  • Coral reef, tidal pools, and hermit crabs at SeaLodge Beach
  • Views of the Na Pali coastline at Ke’e Beach
  • Swimming & snorkeling at Tunnels Beach
  • Warm, salty air
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the beach
  • Coffee on the lanai
  • Dinners at Neidi’s
  • One way bridges
  • Hanalei town
  • Waterfalls
  • The kids signing to Ditmas and the Ed Sheeran station in the rental car
  • Wild roosters and chickens
  • Whale watching from the condo
  • An epic lighting/thunderstorm followed by spectacular waterfalls the next day (& closed bridges)
  • Acai bowls and smoothies at the Kalalea Juice Hale
  • The legendary rental car spider after the artist fair
Lastly, the bonus videos.
