Why Hello There, Sunshine!

It's been cold, grey and yucky for a couple weeks due to an inversion. Yesterday we got a bunch of rain which left us with blue skies and sunshine today! After naptime Mom took us to the zoo. The zoo was very quiet and apparently all the animals must still think it is too cold, but the felines were all very active. The lions were loud and playful, the tigers wandered, and we even saw the elusive snow leopard and her two babies (which we never see). Nash and I were cool as cucumbers in our shades.

MLK Day with Mommy

Nash's school was open on MLK day, which meant that I got to spend a very special day with Mommy. I helped Mommy take down the Christmas tree (a much overdue task), we had special brunch at the Griddle, and we finally went shopping with my birthday money from Rhonda, Tom and Teo. I was very calculated about my prized $10, and ultimately settled on more markers and special paper after finding nothing that interested me in the toy department. I decided that I wanted to save half of it for future goods, and was thrilled to leave the store with markers, paper and MORE CHANGE!

The highlight of the day was having the the opportunity to have some big kid fun and go tubing at Bogus Basin with good friends Claire and Fiona. It's been cold, gloomy and smoggy in town, but we had bluebird skies and 40+ degree weather up at the hill. We followed it up with french fries and "fizzy water" at the lodge before we went home to pick up Nash from school.

P.S., please tell the big guy upstairs to send more snow!

Catching Up - Part 1

It's been awhile since we last posted, so this is part 1 of some December fun catch-up. Part 2 will include some random videos as soon as Mom can figure out the new Blogger interface (she can hardly even figure out how to log on at the moment).

Not much new here. Mom and Dad have been very busy with work lately and are just thankful that we all continue to have good health. I (Reese) insist on wearing the same two outfits every other day, and Nash is doing his best to wear Mom and Dad down by waking at the crack of dawn. 4:50 a.m.....yes, true story.

Grammy and Bompa came to visit in December and spoiled us all with love and everything else. Thank you again for sharing part of the holidays with us.
