The kids have spent hours singing, dancing and making music videos with Bompa in the basement this summer. Here's a couple links to the latest music videos - which Bompa can produce just about as fast as I can upload photos to blogger!

A Visit with Friends in Central PA
We wanted to take advantage of our eastern adventure to see our dear friends who moved to Washington D.C. last summer. Since we already had a couple other road trips planned in July and our vacation time was limited, Claire was game to meet us halfway to spare us some miles which left us in central PA. I spent hours surfing the internet for a destination location somewhere between Rochester and D.C. but turns out there just aren't a whole lot of vacation destinations in central PA! In the end we settled for a small college town with a hotel that was close to a waterpark/amusement park called Knoebel's. The park was quite something and the kids LOVED the waterpark. We love and miss our friends, until next time!

Fitzsimmons Dance Camp
Last week the kids went to a week long dance camp through a local dance company. We offered Nash other camps but he was adamant that he wanted to attend dance camp with sissy even though he was the only boy registered. The teachers were very fun and were happy to have a prince join their ice princesses. Here's a link to a video from the recital at the end of the week.

Visit with the Light's
Last Wednesday I did a trail race with cousin Karen in Rochester. It was muddy and all things Rochester including the bugs.
Then this weekend we got the families together for a pool party at the Light's house. The kids LOVED seeing Tanner and Travis again - the last time we were here Tanner had just been born.

Three Generation Wine Tour
On Saturday we went on a three generation Kindig Keuka Lake wine tour. We had lunch on the deck and Grammy graciously offered to be the DD and resident child art instructor while Ryan, Jenny and Bompa did tastings at three different wineries.

Killington, VT
This weekend we (Ryan and Jenny!!) went to Killington, VT for Ryan's first Enduro mountain bike race. Ryan placed 12th in his class which he was happy about. It was a very muddy, rooty, and technical course. Photo credit for the non-blurry photos go to the amazing race day photographers. The video isn't Ryan, but another rider on the same course.
Killington is beautiful, the race event was well organized and all the people we met in VT were super laid back and cool. We definitely enjoyed a couple of nights away as a couple - we listened to a Podcast in the car on the way over, ate dinner at the civilized hour of 6:30, and calmly ate breakfast in bed!
A heartfelt thanks to G&B for not only letting us have a weekend away, but for making it a memorable 4th of July for the kids who thoroughly enjoyed the parade and their very first fireworks.

Visit with Nathan and Anna
This weekend Nathan and Anna came to visit from Baltimore. We had dinner at the Genesee Brew House with the whole Klippel clan and on Sunday Nate and Anna treated us to the kids first minor league baseball game. The relentless June rain held off with just a short sprinkle - which was kind of nice because we had some great seats behind the plate with no one around us. The Rochester Redwings (a Triple-A team) won the game and at the end the umpire leaving the field tossed Nash a game ball.
