Playdates for Everyone

We've been busy enjoying life and our friends in Boise. Scheduling playdates is a near full-time job and I may need to upgrade my texting plan to cover things. Nash nearly has a standing weekend playdate with best friend Elias and loves to play with our neighbors "the twins" as well. Reese is a social butterfly and has revolving playdates with neighbor Benet, her classmates, and even old friends from Montessori preschool.

Last weekend she was invited by her classmate Brooklynn for a special birthday hotel sleepover. They swam in the hotel pool 3 times, dined at Applebee's and stayed up late watching a movie.

Nash wasn't so thrilled that sissy was leaving for the night so I planned a special playdate for him which turned out to be a very fun night for us too. Eli joined us for dinner downtown with our friends Jeremy and Chelsea and their whole crew. 6 kids, 4 adults, and lots of good food and drink made for a special playdate for everyone.

Model Student

We received the following letter from Reese's school a couple weeks ago. To be honest, we found the letter at the bottom of her backpack... The decision to grade skip kindergarten was tough but we've never looked back. Reese is off the charts with her reading, is an amazing writer, is excited to learn what we think is some fairly complicated math for a second grader, and is taller than most of her classmates. Her teacher has told us several times that grade skipping was a great idea for Reese. This year she's also bonded with a group of girls in her class that are wonderful. Reese, Lucy, Niaya, and Saylor are regular buds and it's wonderful to see her making great friend choices and enjoying the social aspects of second grade. Ryan tells me it's like she's a celebrity when he picks her up from school.

Swimming Graduation

Nash graduated from Level 3 of his swim school a couple weeks ago. We are very proud of his progress and he is very proud of himself! Level 4 is definitely a step up from Level 3 and he was initially surprised at what his beloved Coach Aly was asking him to do, but in true Nash spirit he gives it his all. We are thankful for Coach Aly because I'm certain he wouldn't try these new stunts with us...
And of course, another bonus video of Mr. Nash.
